Panel 1:
Brian Ong — VP of Recruiting, Google
Brian leads global talent acquisition at Google, bringing extensive HR and operational leadership across Fortune 100 technology and finance firms. Having scaled Google’s workforce from 17,000 to over 180,000, he brings unmatched expertise in global talent strategy and organizational design. Brian holds an MBA from Duke and a BA from UCLA.
Ian Sharp — Partner, Talent Network, Andreessen Horowitz
Ian leads the technical talent network at Andreessen Horowitz (a16z). Previously Google's first technical recruiter in London, he spent 15 years scaling specialized talent functions across Google [X], DeepMind US, Ads, and Health. He holds an Information Systems degree from Leeds University.
Panel 2:
Michael Chang — Product Leader, Meta
Michael brings 15+ years of experience leading AI/ML, fintech, and communications platforms, most recently directing Meta’s AI/ML media infrastructure across Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp. He previously held senior product roles at Circle, Google, and Dialpad, and holds a BA in Economics from Duke.
Dr. Max Ng — Machine Learning Engineer, Uber
Max optimizes marketplace logistics for Uber Autonomous Mobility & Delivery in San Francisco. An HKU alumnus (BEng Civil '15) and UK-chartered engineer, he holds a PhD in Transportation Systems from Northwestern University, bridging traditional infrastructure with frontier ML.
Dr. Yi Su — Researcher, Fireworks AI
Yi specializes in reinforcement fine-tuning and AI agents at Fireworks AI. With over a decade of applied ML experience across Meta, AWS, Cruise, and quantitative finance, he brings deep expertise in autonomous systems and technical talent evolution. He holds a PhD in Mathematics from the University of Michigan.
